Web Design Pricing Explained

Not surprisingly, this is a very common question we are asked and there is no hard and fast answer because the price of a website depends on a number of things. What kind of website is needed? What functionality will it have? How big is the site going to be? When does it need to be ready? It’s a little bit like asking a real estate agent, “How much for a house?”

In order to come up with an accurate answer for you, we need to find out what the scope of the project is and then provide you with a quote. We ask you to fill out a form that lets us know what it is you’re looking for in terms of your new site, and then we base our price on the amount of work required.

Having said all that, below is a general guideline of what you can expect to pay when working with us, it may be useful to determine a general budget for a website but we would need to quote on your project to determine an actual estimate. Initial design and website redesigns are similarly priced and depend upon the project requirements. As a small studio, we are selective about the projects we take on and keep our overheads low, which allows us to price our services competitively. Guidelines below are for a fully custom website design.

• Basic Custom WordPress Website Design: A basic custom WordPress-based website with a custom unique design. Includes up to 10 pages of content (text and images), a blog and social media tool integration. Approximately $2000–$3500
• Large Sites: A large site based on a complex Content Management System (CMS) such as Drupal. Ideal for large companies who require more content flexibility, in-depth design and user interface development, and user training. This type of site may take several months to complete and typically costs $7,000 and up
• Logo / Identity Design: Although we do offer logo and identity design, they are not included in the price of a website. Typically a logo and identity design project costs from $900 to $1,500.
• Illustration: Custom illustration is available but the price depends upon the complexity of the project and how much illustration is needed. Priced per project.
